Optimization Method of Acoustic Filter Structures Composed of Helmholtz Resonators Based on Genetic Algorithm

Abstract This paper constructs an iteration method based on Genetic Algorithm to optimize the acoustic filter structure comprising Helmholtz resonators, providing a new approach low-frequency filtering performance of under constraint keeping resonator volume unchanged. First, acoustic-electrical analogy is used design fifth-order Chebyshev type II structure, which comprises two rectangular resonators; second, constructed shape unchanged; finally, optimal obtained by implementing procedure shapes resonators. The simulation results show that, compared with original resonator, has reduction about 10% in resonant frequency and obvious shift transmission loss curve towards low frequencies; effective attenuation range 84-232Hz, showing significantly improved performance, verifying feasibility effectiveness optimization Algorithm.
